Dateline: Wingate, NC Billy Edwin Edwards, Sr., 84, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013. He was born in Union County, NC on April 14, 1928 son of the late Wilson and Lura Helms Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a retired salesman with Brooks Farm Service. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Faulks Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Mary Williams Edwards, sons, Tony Edwards and wife Annette of Monroe, Eddie Edwards and wife Kaye of Polkton, daughters, Linda E. Bundy and husband Ligon of Monroe, Susan E. Bowers and husband Joe of North Branch, Minnesota, sister, Mattie Lou Edwards of Charlotte, grandchildren, Jeremy, Eva and Laura Edwards, Jamie Parker, Tiffany Randall, Elizabeth and Joe Bundy, Elizabeth Bowers and Annika Bowers, great grandchildren, Ava Grace Edwards, Mac Parker and Evan Randall. Memorials may be made to Faulks Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2234 Faulks Church Rd., Marshville, NC 28103.
