Carolyn Godfrey Howey, 91, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born June 29, 1930 in Union County, daughter of the late William Blythe and Della Stephenson Godfrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Benjamin Howey and her son, Randy Howey. Ms. Howey was of the Methodist faith. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 12:00 noon in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 11:00 - 11:45 AM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC, prior to the service. Ms. Howey is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Wolfe of Kershaw; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
