David “Bud” Williams, 82, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025. He was born January 18, 1942 in Gaston County, NC son of the late Dewey & Mable Williams. He is also preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Williams, Ronnie Williams, Tommy Stegall, and Teddy Stegall, and a sister Brenda Napier.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 9, 2025 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. A private family burial will follow the visitation.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol Pressley Williams; son, Mitch Holley; two daughters, Gina Young, husband Brad, April Langston; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Stegall; sister, Dianne Griffin, husband Bill; and brother-in-law Shields Napier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
