Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Bridges, 85, of Indian Trail, NC passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025. He was born in Shelby, NC on August 3, 1939. Kenneth was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired as a special agent from Florida Department of Law Enforcement after 29 years of service. Ken was the third child of Forrest and Marcella Bridges of Mooresboro, NC who preceded him in death, along with his brothers Robert Louis Bridges and John William Bridges, his sister Alice Bridges Guy, his granddaughter Ashlee, and his nephews Timothy Robert Bridges Jr. and John Revell.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Deborah Lynne Bridges of Indian Trail, NC; his son, Darryl and wife, Debbie of Tallahassee, FL; his sister-in-law and husband, Marsha and Gene Revell of Tallahassee, FL; brother-in-law, Robert Phillips Jr. of Bristol, FL; and his stepdaughter and stepson, Torie and Troy Sanders of Hosford, FL. He is survived by his grandchildren; Madison Love of Cincinnati, OH, Alden Harper, Morgan Harper and Chelsea Baggett of Hosford, FL.
He is also survived by his brother Charles David Bridges and wife, Sue of Shelby, NC; his brother Roger Dale Bridges of Westminster, MD, and his sister, Susan Bridges Harrill of Indian Trail, NC. Along with the above mentioned he is survived by eleven nieces and nephews, thirty-four great nieces and nephews, seventeen great-great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail at 732 Indian Trail Fairview Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079. An inurnment will follow at Ritch Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials be made to Council on Aging in Union County, 1401 Skyway Dr, Monroe, NC 28110.
