Aaron Whitley Johnson

Aaron Whitley Johnson, 84, of Monroe, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. He was born in Johnston County, NC on December 24, 1936, son to the late David Elvin Johnson Sr. and Mattie Whitley Johnson. A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the concerns of the pandemic. He served his country as a Member of the United States Airforce. He also was very proud to serve his country as a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol US Air Force Auxiliary for twelve years, during which time he attained the rank of Major. Aside from family his two great loves were the NC State Wolfpack and being in the air. Aaron is survived by his wife, Caroline “Kitten” Moser, his loving daughters, Julie Ann Hunter (Dwight) of Weddington, NC, and Joy Suzanne Johnson (Joseph Craig) of Richville, MN, four grandchildren, brother, David Elvin Johnson Jr. and sister, Nancy Morgan.
