Abigail Marie Wright

March 24, 2000 – December 16, 2025

Our beloved Abigail “Abby” Marie Wright, 25, of Indian Trail, NC, was welcomed into her heavenly home on December 16, 2025. Born in Charlotte on March 24, 2000, Abby brought light into every room she entered and hope into every heart she touched.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Hopewell Baptist Church Legacy Campus, 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe, NC 28110, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM until 11:15AM in the church sanctuary.

Abby possessed an extraordinary gift for turning obstacles into opportunities. Her quick wit could lift spirits in an instant. And her unwavering optimism reminded everyone around her that there was always another path forward. She lived this truth daily, creating solutions where others only saw problems and building bridges where others found walls.

Her hands were always busy creating – whether crafting friendship bracelets or losing herself in video games or filling her world with music. At Hopewell Baptist Church, she shared her radiant faith. Her friends were her treasure, and she cherished every moment spent in their company.

Abby is survived by her devoted mother, Lisa Bernel (Dean), her brother David, and sister Sarah, maternal grandmother Thelma Mauch, 2/3 of the “Three Amigos”, Sydney and Courtney, and her longtime caregivers Sierra and Monya, who will forever carry her infectious laughter in their hearts. She is reunited with her father, Jim Wright, in heaven.

Abby’s legacy lives on in every life she brightened and every path she helped forge.
