Adele Roberts Hawks, 74, of Waxhaw, NC passed away on April 13, 2026. She was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on February 11, 1952, daughter to the late Hayden Roberts and Helen Sample Roberts. She is also preceded in death by her sister DeAnne McCorkle.

A visitation will be held at 2:00PM until 4:00PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Adele graduated from Independence High School. She worked for Providence High School as a registrar and retired after many years of service. She loved her German Shepherds and her kitties. She also loved planting beautiful flowers in her many flower beds around her home.

Adele is survived by her loving husband James Maxie Hawks, two brothers, Hayden Roberts, Bart Roberts, one sister Mimi Reynolds, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks to the many hospice employees that helped with Adele’s care. They were like angels with the way they took care of her and the family.
