Albert Doland Gordon

Albert Doland Gordon, 58, died Thursday, July 26, 2007. He was born in Union County, NC on June 24, 1949 son of the late Albert Steve and Verla Helms Gordon. Albert was the owner of Al’s Auto Sales in Norwood, NC, an ordained Baptist minister and was the pastor of Lakeside Baptist Church in Norwood. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Grace Baptist Church, Monroe, NC. Burial will follow in the Wingate Cemetery. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Ray Gordon on January 31, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Angie Griffin Gordon, sons, Rodney Lane Gordon, Gregory Lynn Gordon both of Monroe, Albert Steve “Lil’ Al” Gordon of Norwood, brother, Rondall Gordon and wife Faynell of Miami, Florida, sisters, Sue Gibson and Libby Duncan, both of Monroe and Phyllis Baker of Ft. Mill, SC and 6 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC.
