Albert David Mills

Albert David Mills, 85, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015. He was born August 1, 1929 in Union County, NC, son to the late Spoffard William and Lula McCoy Mills. He is also preceded in death by his first wife Estelle Mills, son William Acey Helms, daughter Shirley Broome, brother William J. Mills, three sisters Estella Mills, Virginia Starnes, and Virgie Rogers. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, March 23, 2015 at Canaan Baptist Church, 2021 Claude Austin Road, Monroe NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Albert is survived by his wife Mary Mills, a son Dr. David Mills of Morganton, a daughter Carol Helms both of Morganton, three brothers Buddy Mills of Monroe, Woodrow Mills, of Monroe, Dillon Mills of Pageland, a sister Gladys Rape of Marshville, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, six step children, 8 step grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren. The family will visit prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the church. Gordon Funeral Service Crematory is caring for the Mills family.
