Aleene Christenberry

Mrs. Aleene Helms Christenberry, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24,2019. Aleene was born in Union County on May 24, 1926 to the late Mr. Clarence and Ethel Jones Helms. She was also preceded in death by her husband L.H. “Buck” Christenberry, four brothers; CB Helms Jr., Brown Helms, Edison Helms and Joe Neal Helms, two sisters; Callie Bass and Emma Helms. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3816 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Aleene is survived her daughter Joan Clark, brother, Henry David Helms, three grandchildren; Leslie Watts, Jeff Clark, (Carolyn), Tois Blankenship, (Charlie), eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
