Alice Clark Burd

Mrs. Alice Clark Burd 76, passed away peacefully at home with her family and canine companions by her side, April 18, 2008. She lived with melanoma for 18 months. She was an avid reader, talented painter, excellent cook and animal lover. A native of Sussex County, New Jersey she was born February 19, 1932, daughter of the late Levi and Emma Skellenger Clark. Memorial services will be held in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 2:00PM, the family will greet visitors following the service. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 58 years Earl Burd of the home. Son, Earl D. Burd, Jr. of Monroe and daughter, Debra Barbee and husband Steve of Monroe. Sisters, Josephine Bell of Sun City, Arizona and Evelyn Donado of Cape Coral, Florida. Grandchildren, Jennifer Robinson of Lancaster, SC and great grandchild Jamie Robinson of Lancaster, SC. and her canine companions Meggie and Allie.
