Alice Jane Price Hyatt MONROE - Alice Jane Price Hyatt, 71, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013. She was born Easter Sunday, April 5, 1942, in Mecklenburg County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Otto and Iantha Smith Price. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Benton's Crossroads Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. In addition to her family, Alice delighted in music, cooking, sewing, and church activities. She served as a teacher's assistant for over 10 years at Unionville Elementary School. Alice is survived by her loving husband, C.A. Hyatt; three sons, David Hyatt and wife, Teka, Daron Hyatt and wife, Pam, Craig Hyatt and wife, Michelle; one daughter, Jane Ellen H. Huneycutt and husband, Ashley; two sisters, Patsy Brisendine and husband, Fred, Laura Eury and husband, Wally; grandchildren, Olivia Hyatt, Madeline Hyatt, Meredith Hyatt Barbee and husband, David, William Hyatt, Elizabeth Hyatt, Laura Hyatt, Christine Hyatt, and Ava Hyatt, Ellen Huneycutt, Rebekah Huneycutt, and Ross Huneycutt. The family will receive friends Monday, August 26, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Service Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
