Alice "Billie" Thomas

Alice “Billie” Starnes Thomas, 95, of Indian Trail, NC passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021. She was born in Cabarrus County on March 19, 1925, daughter to the late Robert Simeon Starnes and Odessa Glenn Starnes. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Troy Nance Griffin and second husband, Marcellus Thomas, daughter, Janie Drueding, and son, Phillip Griffin. She was a previous director for Head Start of Union County and Anson County, co-owner of Directions Boutique of Monroe. She was formally a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and a current member of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Lakeland Memorial Park. Billie is survived by her son, Bob Griffin, wife Linda and daughter, Troyanne Powell, husband Mark, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
