Alice Susan Wolfinger

Alice Susan Wolfinger, 51, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was born in Havre De Grace, Maryland on April 25, 1963. She is the daughter of Judith Newton and the late Donald Sheppard. Alice was involved in Loaves and Fishes, helping with the homeless and donated her time to the Women’s Shelter. Always helping others, Alice was also a loved home health caregiver. She loved her family and children and always put them first. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Alice is survived by her mother, Judith S. Newton and stepfather, Jeffrey Newton, husband, John David Wolfinger, sons, Joseph and Robert Winn, daughter, Briana Jenkins, brother, Warren Briggs III, sister, Gina Little and 2 grandchildren. Stepfather, Warren Briggs, Jr. is deceased.
