Allen Wilson Moser, 93, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Allen was born in Union County on September 25, 1920, a son of the late Raymond C. and Deborah Richardson Moser. He was a life-long resident of Union County, except during World War II, when he served in the US Army as a Medical Supply Technician. Allen farmed his entire life, beginning with row crops before putting in pastures and raising cattle. He also worked for many years as a carpenter. He was a life-long member of Bethlehem United Methodist church and a long-term member of the Chancel Choir. Allen was preceded in death by his wife Christine Boone Moser, brothers Wm. Edwin and Wilburn Moser, and sister, Mary Sue Stephens. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Lakeland Memorial Park. Allen is survived by four children: Donald Moser and wife Karen of Pendleton, SC; Deborah Moser of Charlotte, NC; Rhonda Sullivan of Daleville, AL; and Dennis Moser of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
