Alvin Reece Stegall

Alvin Reece Stegall, 67, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was born in Union County on April 21, 1950, son of Albert Stegall and Violet Helms Stegall. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Kay “Click” Stegall, daughter Tabitha Stegall, and a sister-n-law Margaret Stegall. He was a long time dedicated member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Monroe, NC, where he served in many ministries including various missions; he was an avid fish-fryer and used that talent to help youth, cancer and church benefits. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Friday, October 20, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2528 Stack Road, Monroe, NC 28112, with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. In addition to his parents, Reece is survived by five brothers; Kenneth Stegall, Ronald Stegall and his wife Sissy, Donald Stegall and his wife Dong, Johnny Stegall and his wife Debbie, and Mike Stegall, Fiancé Janet Parrott of Monroe, her children Max, Genie, Zach and Jaydaus Parrott, nine nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-nieces and nephews. Special friends Cam and Debbie Stallings, Sammy Grant, Ricky Grant, Tracy and Kris Warden. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
