Andrea Powell, 70, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. She was born March 16, 1948 in Chattanooga, TN a daughter of the late James Edwin and Daisy Brooks Powell. Funeral services will be held 9:00AM Monday, June 11, 2018 at St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Church 3075 Long Meadow Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 with Father Paul Coats officiating. Burial will be 1:00PM Monday in Saints Mary Martha Monastery, 51 Spinner Ln, Wagener, SC 29164. A Panhikida will be held 6:00PM Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Andrea was a faithful member of Saint Anthony the Great Orthodox Church in Rock Hill, SC. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include a daughter, Mandy Snellings of Charlotte, two granddaughters, Leanna Snellings of Rock Hill and Nicole Snellings of Charlotte, three sisters, Jeanne Powell of Texas, Cheryl Ryland of Tennessee and Kathy Perkins of Virginia.
