Ann Y. Couick

Dateline: Monroe, NC Ann Y. Couick, 63, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 26, 2008. She was born in Lancaster County, SC on October 23, 1945 daughter of Mary Cleo Couick of Monroe and the late Wilburn Couick. She was an employee of the Harris Teeter Store in Wesley Chapel, NC. Ann is also survived by her son, Brian A.(Laura) Rushing of Monroe, daughter, Monica A. Rushing of Fairview, brothers, Darrell (Sonja) Couick and Morrison (Mary) Couick of Monroe and Billy (Martha) Couick of Stallings, sisters, Donna Couick (Ken) Medlin of Monroe and Judy C. Lisk of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren include James Elliott, Katelyn Elliott, Emma Rushing and Avery Rushing. She was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Potts. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Siler Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
