Ann Carter Crump

Ann Carter Crump, 86, of Monroe, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born in Union County, on March 17, 1937, daughter to the late Hall Carter and Vera Belk Carter. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years Ralph Dixon Crump, a great-granddaughter Ma’ Leah Hall, brother, JD Carter, sisters Margaret Sikes, Edna Carroll, Inez Phillips, and Kathleen Horton.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 14, 2023, in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:15 PM until 2:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Ann is survived by her son Doug Crump (Carmen), daughters, Vickie Helms (Danny), and Beth Crump (Jeff), three grandchildren, Cheli Hoffman (Justin), Justin Crump (Lauren), and Ashley Wallace (Jerelle), four great-grandchildren, Avery Hoffman, Brandi Witherspoon, Shawn Witherspoon and Jerelle Hannah Jr., and a very special sister-in-law Linda Simpson as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Road, Monroe, NC 28110 or Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110.
