Anna Lynn Goodwin

Dateline: Monroe, NC Anna Lynn Goodwin, 80, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at her home. She was born in Union County, NC on September 14, 1927 daughter of the late James Oscar “Miff” Goodwin and Bertie Thompson Goodwin. Anna was a graduate of Benton Heights High School and a lifetime resident of Monroe. She was employed in bookkeeping and accounting positions, most recently at Perfect Fit Industries. She had been a faithful member of Benton Heights Presbyterian Church since childhood. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Paul M. Saleeby. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by a younger sister, Rebecca Goodwin Hinson. Anna is survived by her brother, James C. Goodwin and nephew, Lynn A Hinson, both of Monroe. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
