Anne Walden

Monroe, NC Anne Howey Walden, 84, died Sunday, November 23, 2008. Mrs. Walden was born in Union County, NC, September 28, 1924 daughter of the late Otho Singleton and Ona Price Howey. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Bradford Andrew Walden and sisters Sadie Thornton and Mary Howey. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 11:00AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Anne is survived by her son Brad Walden of Monroe; daughter Paulette Freeman of Monroe; brothers Fred and Marvin Howey of Monroe, NC and Olin Howey of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Edith Hartis of Matthews, NC, Helen Walden of Monroe, NC and Nancy Ogburn of Charlotte, NC and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 6:30 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
