Mable Baker Boyles, 96, died Saturday, August 16, 2014. Mrs. Boyles was born in Union County, NC, October 29, 1917, daughter of the late Carl and Blanche Baucom Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Wesley Boyles, four brothers, Vachel, Byron, Colson and Burris Baker and two sisters Jewel Hill and Louise Preslar. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 4312 Old Pageland-Monroe Rd., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Mrs. Boyles is survived by two brothers Bill Baker of Matthews, NC and Ralph Baker of Monroe, NC; two sisters Lura Broome of Charlotte, NC and Elizabeth Morgan of Matthews, NC.
