Annie Lee (Williams) Hill

August 25, 1921 — February 3, 2015

Annie Lee Hill, 93, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. She was born in Union County, NC on August 25, 1921 daughter of the late Grady V. Williams, Sr. and Sarah Strawn Williams. Mrs. Hill attended Walter Bickett High School, was a retired business woman, working beside her husband, the late W. T. Hill and also retired from Allen Overall Co. She was a life long Presbyterian, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, working in the church and was the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The family will receive friends Friday, February 6, 2015 from 1:00 until 2:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 follow by the funeral service at 3:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Hill is survived by Grady and Judy Hill, Dean and Loretta Hill, both of Monroe, Danny and Heather Hill of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Mary Alice and Andy Booth of Monroe and Elizabeth and Heath Simpson of Myrtle Beach, SC, brothers, Billy B. Williams of Pittsboro, John D. Williams, Charles Eugene “Gene” Williams, Jimmy Williams, Robert “Tim” Williams, all of Monroe, sisters, Patsy Moore and Nancy Bivens, both of Marshville, 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Clayton Williams and Grady Williams, sisters, Alice Williams, Helen Hargett and Margaret Mills. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
