Dateline: Peachland, NC Arthur Ray Taylor, 84, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. He was born in Anson County, NC on November 17, 1928 son of the late Henry Foster and Jennie Bet Sheppard Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a US Army veteran and a retired shop foreman with the NC Department of Transportation. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Hopewell United Methodist Church. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church following the burial. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Dorothy Preslar Taylor, son, Art Taylor and wife Debbie of Hartsville, SC, daughter, Vonnie Taylor Little and husband Mike of Peachland, brothers, Jack Taylor, Wadesboro and Paul Taylor of Apex, sisters, Zettie Marsh of Matthews and Bettie Haney, of Marshville, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
