Ashley Rosa Wallace Handsel, 27, of Monroe NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Ashley was born in Monroe, on January 30, 1991. She is the daughter of Samuel and Sherry Wallace. She was a school teacher for Union County Public Schools, and a member of Lee Park Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Ashley’s life will be held at 4:00pm, Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at Lee Park Baptist Church, 2505 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Burial will be 11:00am, Monday, August 20, 2018 at Lakeland Memorial Park 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. She is survived by her loving husband Andrew Ryan Handsel, and her parents, two brothers Joshua Wallace, wife Lauren, Johnathan Wallace, two sisters, Ariel and Alaia Wallace, and grandparents, Earl and Sibyl Simpson. She is also survived by her in-laws, Scott and Michele Handsel and one sister-in-law, Madison Handsel.
