Barbara Jean Adcock

Barbara Jean Adcock, 85, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019. She was born on November 17, 1933 to the late Carvin Dewitt Cox and Dorthula Ledbetter Cox. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, John Boyd Adcock. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will visit with friends Friday at the family home, and Saturday following the service at the cemetery. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Gail Barnes (Steve) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Donna Adcock of Waxhaw, and Robin Metcalf (Richard) of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, William Hendrick (Vicki) of Fort Mill, SC, and TJ Stewart of Asheboro, NC, and four great-grandchildren. She attended Covenant Baptist Church in Lancaster and was a current member of Waxhaw Bible Church.
