Barbara Jeanette (Squeaky) Helms Byrum, 80, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 surrounded by her family. Barbara was born May 30, 1938 to the late Curt and Faye Long Helms, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Allen Byrum. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Cornerstone Community Church of the Nazarene, 2707 Secrest Short Cut Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Entombment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum, the family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30pm until 1:45pm. Barbara was survived by her children; Reggie Byrum, wife Deana, of Monroe, Sonya Snodgrass, husband Earl, of Marshville and Chris Byrum, (Deborah McManus) of Monroe, two sisters; Linda Laney and Sharon Estridge both of Monroe, 7 grandchildren; J.D. Snodgrass, Daniel Byrum, Felicia Snodgrass, Natalie Snodgrass, (P.J.) Valerie Snodgrass (David) and seven great-grandchildren. The family request memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
