Benjamin Franklin “Frank” King of Monroe was escorted by the angels of God to his new home in Heaven on July 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Carole Helms King, who died November 8, 2012. Mr. King was the son of the late Carl and Theresa King, and was born on October 9, 1939.
Mr. King’s strong Christian faith was a walking testimony for God, as he blessed everyone he met glorifying Christ. His gift for teaching led him to serve as Sunday school teacher at Oakland Baptist Church and then at West Monroe Baptist Church for over 40 years combined.
He retired from Forms Supply in Charlotte as one of the top salesmen for the company, and proudly served as Sergeant in the Military earlier in life.
He was a devoted, loving, Godly husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother who treasured his family with enduring love.
Mr. King is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Edward Williams of Tennessee, son Jason King of Indian Trail NC, sister Marty King Greene of Charlotte NC, grandson and wife Anthony and Tabitha Williams of Tennessee, and a granddaughter and husband Kelly and Stacy Gillispie of Tennessee, seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brother Carl Roscoe King of Ivanhoe NC.
