Bessie Lee Rodgers

Dateline: Waxhaw, NC Bessie Lee Robinson Rodgers, 95, died Monday, January 4, 2010. She was born in Union County on July 17, 1914, daughter of the late Albert Eugene and Mattie Lee Carter Robinson. Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Rodgers, sons Jerry and David Rodgers, daughter-in-law Rita Rodgers and brothers, Neil and Kelly Robinson. Mrs. Rodgers was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always cared for others. She was a life-long member of Mineral Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Mineral Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. She is survived by her son, Eddie Rodgers, Jr. and wife Joanne of Mineral Springs and daughter, Patti Lee Rodgers of Monroe; grandchildren Scott Rodgers, Ginger Outen and husband David, Jerry Rodgers and wife Sherry and Marty Rodgers and wife Elaine; great-grandchildren Shane and Clint Outen and Justin Rodgers. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
