Beth Gordon Simpson, 92 of Monroe, NC passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026. She was born in Union County, NC on April 12, 1934, daughter to the late Lewis Gordon and Mae Gordon. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Grier Bennett “Benny” Simpson, and four brothers, Howard Gordon, Richard Gordon, Erwin Gordon, Kenneth Gordon.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM until 1:45PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Beth is survived by her son, Rick Simpson (Sherri), Susan Simpson, three grandchildren, Jonathan Simpson (Kelly), Michael Simpson (Jenny), Lindsey Belk (Brandon), and a great-grandchild Bailey Blackmon.

She was a faithful church member and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a great cook and enjoyed baking cookies. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren that she loved and adored.
