Betty Robinson Boxer, 80, of Charlotte, NC passed away on October 21, 2013. Mrs. Boxer was born on September 26, 1933 in Monroe, NC to the late Allen and Willie May Robinson. Mrs. Boxer was predeceased by her husband, Karl Boxer; brother, Jim Robinson and brother-in-law, Ralph Smith and her beloved dog, Beauregard. Mrs. Boxer is survived by her children: Karen Purser and husband Rodney, Debra Richardson and fiancé Johnny Crenshaw, and David Richardson and friend Beverly Whittington ; sister, Margie Smith of Hale, MO and sister-in-law, Carolyn Robinson of Wytheville, VA.; two nephews, Brian Smith of the Philippines and Wes Robinson of Wytheville, VA.; and many cousins and lifetime friend Ruby Starnes. Visitation will be at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 from 1:30 until 2:45 pm on Friday, October 25, 2013. A graveside service will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park at 3:00 pm.
