Betty Lee Polk Drake, 85, went to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, February 28, 2015. She was born April 23, 1929 in Union County daughter to the late William Carl Lillian Rushing Polk. She is also preceded in death by her husband James Fairley Drake Jr., a sister Linda Baucom, and a brother Ray Polk. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church, burial will follow in church cemetery. Mrs. Drake is survived by a daughter Peggy Polk, three sons Steve Drake (Vivian), Lynn Drake (Vickie), and Wayne Drake (Chris), siblings, Heath Polk, J.E. Polk, Boyd Polk, Jerry Polk, Janette Baucom, Larry Polk, and Louise Byrum, grandchildren Kelly Polk (Melissa), Christy Baucom (Ken), Holly Griffin (Jeremy), Kari Croasmun (Dac), Amanda Myers (Jeff), Chad Drake (Amy) Jessie Nance (Camron), and Travis Drake (Allison), great grandchildren Ethan Griffin, Ava Griffin, Kristen Polk, Emily Polk, Nathan Polk, Jackie Baucom, Skylar Baucom, Parker Myers, Trevor Myers, Luke Croasmun, Gracie Croasmun, Nick Drake, Brady Drake, Addy Drake, Evan Drake, and Rylie Nance. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe NC 28112.
