Betty Lou Walters Griffin, 92, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022. She was born October 13, 1929 in Anson County, daughter to the late Rev. Lloyd H. and Mary Helms Walters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Griffin, son, Steven Griffin and daughter, Pamela Hart. Mrs. Griffin is survived by her son, Roger Griffin and daughter, Sandra Smith, both of Monroe, grandson Garrett Helms, wife Kelly, and great-granddaughter Sydney Helms and Abby Bartman. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and family prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.
