Betty Knox Joyner, 91, of Waxhaw, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2016. She was born January 10, 1925, to the late William Moffitt and Jennie Leigh Smith Knox. Mrs. Joyner is survived by her husband, Norman Judd Joyner; son, Jerry Joyner and wife, Sandra, of Waxhaw; two sisters, Peggy K. McConnell of Mooresville, NC and Mary K. Lauer of Manistee, MI; two grandchildren, Jonathon and wife, Mary, and Andrew and wife, Jessica; three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Mattie, and Anders. A special thanks to the following individuals and staff for their compassionate care of Mrs. Joyner over the past months: Home Instead Senior Care, Pruitt Health-Union Pointe, and Pruitt Health-Hospice.
