Betty Anne Booth Lee

Betty Anne Booth Lee, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at her home Friday, May 26, 2023. She was born December 21, 1942, in Cordele, GA, daughter of the late Andrew Jefferson Booth and Bethyl “Betty” Way Booth. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Henry Lee, and two brothers: Thomas “Tommy” Booth and Robert “Bobby” Booth.

Her favorite word was “JOY” and she has now entered into the Joy of the Lord. Betty Anne enjoyed life to the fullest and she was always ready for the next adventure. Her gifts included a witty spirit, gifts of mercy and help, and a gift of encouragement. She was a true friend to many and loved by all. She will be missed. Although dementia took her from her favorite things, it never diminished her love of the Lord.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in Trinity Baptist Church, 2613 Concord Hwy., Monroe, NC 28110. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Lakeland Memorial Park following the service. The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM in the church sanctuary.

Betty Anne is survived by her son James “Jimmy” Henry Lee, Jr., and his wife April, two brothers: Andy Booth and Donald Booth and his wife Sandy, two sisters: Barbara Jeanne Gurley and Pat Stitt, three grandsons: Jason Lee, David Lee, and James Lee, two great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
