Betty Lou Maynard

Dateline: Monroe, NC Betty Lou Maynard, 74, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on March 22, 1938 daughter of the late James and Norma Ferguson Pemberton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jay Maynard who passed away February 5, 2011. Mrs. Maynard was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed having breakfast with her friends at the Palace Restaurant. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Maynard is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bacon and husband Allen of Waxhaw, brother, Burnie Pemberton of Grosse Pointe, MI, sister, Janice Peters of Sterling Heights, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
