Betty Jane Little McCoy, 84, of Wingate, NC, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016. She was born June 1, 1932, in Stanly County, NC to the late John Lee and Ina Mae Whitley Little. Mrs. McCoy was Bank Operations Manager for Bank of Wingate, the predecessor for Bank of N.C. and NCNB, from which she retired. In retirement, she worked as a teller for BBT. Mrs. McCoy was a member of Love's Grove United Methodist Church where she assisted in the nursery for a number of years. She also volunteered with the Union County Sheriff's Department for many years. She is survived by her husband, James Cardell McCoy; two sons, Bryan McCoy and wife, Peggy, of Mt. Holly, NC, and Van McCoy and wife, Effie, of Ft. Gordon, GA; two daughters, Millie McCoy Venegas and husband, Jose, of Supply, NC, and Nancy McCoy Duncan and husband, Scott, of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Nikki, Carter, Miriam, Alex, David, Jessica, Errica, and Nick; and great-grandchildren, Stratos, Aris, Rosalia, Olivia, and Sophia. The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 to 10:45 AM Monday morning, December 5, 2016, at Love's Grove United Methodist Church, 4360 Polk Ford Road, Stanfield, NC 28163. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Love's Grove United Methodist Church, P.O.
