Betty Louise McWhorter Medlin, 89, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021. She is the daughter or the late George McWhorter and Delphia Starnes McWhorter. She is also preceded in death by her husband, George Medlin. Betty was a member of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held from the graveside 3:00PM, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 1120 W. Sandy Ridge Rd., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Betty is survived by her two sons, Ronald Medlin (Cookie) of Shallotte, NC, Randy Medlin (Jennie) of Gilbert, SC; two daughters, Teresa Helms (Tom) of Wingate, NC, Tracy Deese (Mitch) of Monroe, NC; her sister, Violet Starnes of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren, Crystal Ashley, Megan Helms, Brian Medlin, Zac Helms, Amber Nash, Josh Deese, Michael Brooks and Kristen Brown; and also twelve great-grandchildren.
