Beulah Mae Helms, 77, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. She was born in Union County, NC on September 1, 1936 daughter of the late Earl and Nancy Carter Helms. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Waxhaw City Cemetery. Mrs. Helms is survived by a son, Bobby Helms, daughter, Nancy Aly both of Monroe, brothers, Alvin Helms, of Ohio and Earl Helms, Jr., of Wisconsin, sisters, Pauline Hargett of Nebraska, Joyce Hobbs, of Florida, Mary White of Iva, SC and Sadie Penyan, of Monroe, grandchildren, Noah Hall of Monroe and Antonio Juzrez of Monroe, and a niece, Nancie Miller. She was preceded in death by brothers, Grady Helms, Walter Helms, Gary Helms and a baby brother. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the funeral home to help with the funeral expenses.
