Beverly Hagelie Wolfenden April 26, 1927- May 16, 2013 WAXHAW - Beverly Hagelie Wolfenden, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 16, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on April 26, 1927 to Ordin and Lavina Hagelie. Beverly, along with her husband, Elmer, faithfully served the Lord in the Philippines with Wycliffe Bible Translators for over 40 years as Bible translators. They translated and printed the New Testament into Masbatenyo for the people of Masbate, Philippines. Beverly is survived by her husband of 58 years, Elmer Wolfenden; her four children: Steve Wolfenden and wife Tami, of Brookfield, WI; Carrie Powell and husband Bruce, of Wesley Chapel, NC; Sandra Maples and husband Steve, of Mission Viejo, CA; and David Wolfenden and wife Nancy, of Manila, Philippines; her grandchildren: Brent, Justin, David, and Evan Wolfenden; Chris and Jason and wife Keri Powell; Alex Maples; Zach, Noah, Calli, and Keegan Wolfenden. Great grandson: Knox Powell. Memorial service will be at 4 pm Friday, May 17, 2013 at Siler Presbyterian Church, Rev. Bruce Powell and Dr. John Akers presiding.
