Billy Morris Greene

Billy Morris Greene, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born May 18, 1928 in Richmond County, NC son to the late Harvey and Jennie Williams Greene. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy Purser Greene, a daughter; Margaret Stegall and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Fish Road, Monroe, NC 28110, burial will follow in the church cemetery. Billy is survived by his three daughters, Carolyn Braswell (Stephen) of Monroe, Linda Edwards (Rick) of Monroe, and Darlene Jenkins (Randy) of Bolivia, NC and son-in-law, Kenneth Stegall of Monroe, nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Memorial may be made to donors choice.
