Billy Wayne Hatley, 74, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023. He was born February 22, 1949 in Mecklenburg County, NC, son of the late Mack Earl and Margaret Dorton Hatley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Hatley.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Christ Baptist Church, 2018 NC Highway 218, Indian Trail, NC. The family will visit with friends and relatives following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. Hatley is survived by his wife, Margaret Lipscomb Hatley; son, Benjamin Wayne Hatley and daughter, Michelle Lynn Hatley; brothers, Jerry (Shirley) Hatley, Jimmy (Pat) Hatley and Kenneth (Agnes) Hatley and sister, Betty Manus.
