Billy Ray Moon

Dateline: Monroe, NC Billy Ray Moon, 73, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009. He was born in Douglas, Alabama on October 31, 1935 son of the late Calvin M. Moon and Sarah Sisson Cash. Mr. Moon was a US Navy veteran and a retired employee of IBM. He then worked for 7 years with the N.C. Dept. of Agriculture and also worked for Dale Jarrett Ford. He was a member of the Union County Tractor Club and Classic Cruisers of Monroe. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Central United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Moon is survived by his wife, Glenda Sloan Moon, sons, Ivan M. Moon and Blane D. Moon and wife Kristen, grandchildren, Lindsay and Aniston Moon, all of Monroe. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
