Billy James Price

Billy James Price, 73, passed away at home, Friday November 2, 2012. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, daddy, and paw paw. Bill was born October 29, 1939 in Union County son of the late Johnny Reece Price and Gladys Drake Price Whitehead. He is also preceded in death by his step father Curtis Whitehead, and also leaves behind his special buddy, Mans Best Friend, Gumpy. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in Gordon Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ann Medlin Price, two daughters Karen Price Boone, husband Jimmy and Cindy Price Moscuzza, husband Buddy, a brother Dean Price, wife Judy all of Monroe, five grandchildren, Michael, Timothy, Mark Clark, all of Lancaster, Rusty Graham and Casie Moscuzza both of Monroe, one great grandson, Connor Hontz also of Monroe. Mr. Price worked in construction for over 40 years, and was employed by Monroe Hardward, Retail Division until retirement in May. He was a simple, kind, gentle, generous man who devoted his life to his family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112, at other times the family will be at the home of Karen Boone, 4821 Griffith Road, Monroe NC, 28112.
