Billy M. Taylor, Sr., 86 very peacefully went to be with his heavenly family on Saturday, January 14, 2017. He was born in Union County, February 2, 1930 only son to the late Horace Clayton Arleana Helms Taylor. He is also preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Deason Taylor. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. A graveside service will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Lakeland Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Earl Bradshaw of Mill Grove United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Bill is survived by a son Billy M. Taylor, Jr. and wife Ann of Albemarle, a daughter Terri T. McClain of Matthews, granddaughters; Amy Taylor and husband Bradley Preslar of New London, Genny Jordan of Albemarle, and Heidi Hayden of Huntersville; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
