Blake Eustis Lee

Blake Eustis Lee, 101, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. He was born on April 30, 1916 in Union County son to the late Eustace Brewer and Delukie Mae Walters Lee. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Rachel Elizabeth Jenkins Lee, two brothers, Joe Lee and Hall Lee. Funeral services for Mr. Lee will be held from the graveside with military honors, 11:00AM Friday, June 30, 2017 in Walters Family Cemetery on Landsford Road, Monroe NC. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29th. from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe NC. Mr. Lee served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. After retiring from Allison-Erwin Hardware in Charlotte, Mr. Lee helped out on his son Ronnie's farm. He is survived by a son, Ronnie Lee of Monroe, a daughter, Libby Lee Deese and her husband Billy of Monroe, two grandchildren, Ginger Deese Whisnant and her husband Scott of Concord, Rebecca Deese Starnes and her husband Keith of Monroe, two great-grandchildren, Drake Starnes and Willa Starnes. The family suggest memorial gifts be made to Walters Family Cemetery Fund, in care of, Robert Jones 10206 Landsford Road Monroe, NC 28112 or to the Jessie Helms Nursing Center 1411 Dove Street Monroe, NC 28112.
