Blake Edward Tucker

Blake Edward Tucker, 19, of Monroe, NC passed away on March 10, 2022. He was born in Mecklenburg County on August 27, 2002 to James Scott (Scotty) Tucker and Shanna McCollum Tucker. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Dennis Edward McCollum. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Team Church, 2301 Stevens Mill Road, Matthews, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:45 p.m. at the church. Blake is survived by his loving parents and his two brothers, Luke Scott Tucker and Hunter James Tucker, maternal grandmother Linda McCollum Starnes (John), paternal grandparents, Bruce and Peggy Tucker, uncles and aunts, Clint and Lisa Rhoney, Kevin and Tina Abshire, Michele Clary, Brooke and Joey Bartlett, as well as numerous cousins. Blake accepted his salvation through Jesus Christ in early 2013, and was baptized shortly after on February 27, 2013. It is because of that decision that we can have the comfort of knowing that he is resting with our Lord right now. Blake loved basketball and he loved to work. But more than that he loved people. He never left a conversation without an “I love you,” and he was always willing to do anything for anyone. Let that be his legacy. Aside from that, Blake was funny, he was tall, and at times, he probably talked way too much. He had a beautiful heart and could make friends with anybody. He was a servant and he knew how to make people smile, no matter the situation. Blake graduated from Piedmont High School in 2020, and most recently worked as a team lead at Tractor Supply in Monroe. He worked hard to earn that title and he was so proud of it. He would arrive early, leave late, and come in on his days off. He was truly the definition of a hard worker. While Blake is no longer here with us on this earth, let him live on in our memories forever, and let us rest in the comfort of knowing we will see him again if we shall choose to accept the free gift of God’s grace. Never let the stories about Blake cease. Blake is loved and missed and will be forever.
