Bland Willie Fowler

Bland Willie Fowler, 92, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his home in Marshville, NC. He was born in Union County NC, son of the late Ira Jackson Fowler and Lottie Mae Crowell Fowler. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Gwen Hartis Fowler. Bland served in the US Army and was active in the Korean war. He was an automotive mechanic by trade and member of Union Grove Baptist Church. The funeral for Bland will be Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 11:00am Union Grove Baptist Church, 2434 Old Lawyers Rd, Marshville, NC 28103 with burial to follow with military honors in Lakeland Memorial Park. He will lie in state Wednesday from 10:00am until 10:45am at the church. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Rushing Fowler; son Gerald Fowler, Monroe, NC; daughter Sharon Funderburk, Monroe, NC and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren In lieu of flowers, family asks that memorials be made to Union Grove Baptist Church.
