Bobbie Jean Mcclain

Bobbie Jean Couick McClain, 87, daughter of Marcelle Thompson Couick and Jesse Couick passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Alexander McClain. Bobbie was a member of Good Shepherd UMC in Charlotte and a longtime Tent holder at Pleasant Grove Camp Meeting in Mineral Springs. She loved her family deeply and anytime they would gather was a special occasion, especially if it included her grandson Zandon. Plants and growing things were special interests of hers as well. Bobbie also loved children, all children, not only her own. Later in life, Bobbie was a childcare provider for several families. Even after her care was no longer needed, she remained close those children and families. Bobbie is survived by her loving companion of many years, Charles Meeks. She was also blessed with two children, Dennis and Susan McClain as well as grandson Ian Cox and great-grandson Zandon Cox. A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Ritch Cemetery, 6107 Indian Trail-Fairview Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
