Bobby Lewis Norman

Bobby L. Norman Mr. Norman, 78, of Indian Trail, North Carolina died Saturday, August 8, 2015 after a hard fought battle with diabetes. The son of the late Robert and Virginia Norman, was born in Appomattox, Va on April 11, 1937. He served in the National Guard for 6 years while in Winston-Salem, NC. A Charlotte area resident for the past 40 years, Mr. Norman was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church where he volunteered with Mission Events, the Methodist Mens Group and participated in Epiphany Juvenile Prison Ministries. Over the years he served with the Lion’s Club and coached several youth and adult sports teams. In his leisure he was an avid Tennessee Vols and Duke Blue Devils fan. He enjoyed helping those less fortunate and will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Besides his parents, Mr. Norman was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Norman of Winston Salem, NC. Survivors include his wife Norma Norman of 30 years. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Greg Norman, Stephen Norman, Eric Little and Regina Dunn. He has 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00pm at Faith United Methodist Church, 3708 Faith Church Road, Indian Trail, NC with visitation to follow.
